Large cryptocurrencies show mixed results in morning trading
During morning trading on Thursday, the cryptocurrency market saw a mix of gains and losses. Uniswap (UNI) experienced the largest decline, shedding 3.49% to reach $4.59. On the other hand, Solana (SOL) led the increases with a climb of 2.80% to $43.37.
Declines in several currencies
Five other cryptocurrencies recorded reductions on Thursday. Polkadot (DOT) dropped 1.79% to $4.70, while Ethereum (ETH) fell 1.54% to $1,825.05. Bitcoin (BTC) shed 1.33% to reach $34,967.50, and Dogecoin (DOGE) declined by 0.07% to 7 cents. Ripple (XRP) experienced the smallest decline, falling 0.23% to 61 cents.
Gains in select cryptocurrencies
In addition to Solana, two other cryptocurrencies saw increases. Cardano (ADA) climbed 1.01% to 31 cents, and Polygon (MATIC) rose by 0.11% to 66 cents.
Company news in the crypto space
In crypto-related company news, several stocks showed positive movement. Shares of Coinbase Global Inc. (COIN) increased by 6.50% to $82.87, while MicroStrategy Inc. (MSTR) rose by 2.17% to $435.93. Riot Platforms Inc. (RIOT) saw a climb of 4.19% to $10.64, and Marathon Digital Holdings Inc. (MARA) climbed 5.33% to $9.40.
Other notable gains were observed in Overstock.com Inc. (OSTK), which climbed 5.50% to $16.10. Block Inc. (SQ) rose by 6.03% to $43.43, and Tesla Inc. (TSLA) experienced a 4.88% increase to reach $215.69.
