Impersonation scam claims Premier Moe endorses cryptocurrency platforms

Avatar

The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan is warning the public about an impersonation scam on social media using fake news articles which claim that Premier Scott Moe is endorsing the cryptocurrency trading platforms CanCap and BitCan. Neither is registered with the FCAA to trade or sell securities or derivatives in Saskatchewan. This platform should not be confused with CanCap Group, which is a privately-owned Canadian financial services company.

The FCAA cautions investors not to send money to companies that are not registered in Saskatchewan, because they may not be legitimate.
