In anticipation of the opening of U.S. stock markets in two hours, several companies have already shown gains in pre-market trading. Pioneer Natural Resources Co. (PXD) saw an impressive increase of 11.4%, while Freshworks Inc. Cl A (FRSH) rose by 6.3%.
Other notable performers include ResMed Inc. (RMD), Lennar Corp. Cl B (LEN.B), and e.l.f. Beauty Inc. (ELF), all of which posted gains of at least 2%. On the other hand, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CM) and VinFast Auto Ltd. (VFS) experienced declines, falling by 2.8% and 2.7% respectively.
Looking at the market futures, the S&P 500 is expected to rise by 0.27%, while futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average show a 0.23% increase. The Cboe Volatility Index futures, however, are down by 1.87%.
Moving to commodities, Brent crude oil futures have increased by 0.10%, and gold futures are up by 0.22%. Bitcoin also shows a positive trend, rising by 0.84% to reach $27,698.
Furthermore, the yield on 10-Year Treasury bonds has climbed to 4.740%.
Recapping the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 experienced a slight decrease of 0.13%, while the Dow showed a minimal decline of 0.03%. Overnight in Asia, Japan’s NIKKEI 225 Index fell by 0.26%.
As for European markets, stocks are currently on the rise; the STOXX Europe 600 Index has climbed by 0.66%, and the FTSE 100 Index has increased by 0.36% since the previous close.
