China

China’s Shanghai Composite Index SHCOMP, +0.42% rose 0.4% to 2,922.73.

Singapore

Singapore’s FTSE Straits Times Index STI, +0.38% increased 0.4% to 3,238.30.

South Korea

The KOSPI Composite Index 180721, -0.84% of South Korean stocks dropped 0.8% to 2,657.79.

Australia

The S&P/ASX 200 Benchmark Index XJO, -0.08% of Australian stocks weakened 0.1% to 7,659.00.

Top Performers

Among the Hang Seng Index constituents:

  • WuXi AppTec 2359, +7.87% saw the largest increase with shares rising 7.9%.
  • ENN Energy Holdings 2688, +5.00% added 5.0%.
  • Alibaba Hlth Info Tech 241, +4.24% increased by 4.2%.

Top Losers

Among the Hang Seng Index constituents:

  • Shenzhou Intl Group 2313, -4.19% saw the largest drop with shares declining by 4.2%.
  • Sunny Optical Technology 2382, -2.62% and BYD Co Ltd 1211, -2.25% declined by 2.6% and 2.3% respectively.
  • SMC 6273, +4.83% saw the largest increase with shares rising by 4.8%.

  • Hitachi Zosen 7004, +4.14% and Aozora Bank 8304, +3.70% gained 4.1% and 3.7% respectively.

  • Rakuten Group 4755, -5.40% saw the largest drop as shares decreased by 5.4%.

  • Sapporo Holdings 2501, -4.57% and Yamaha 7951, -3.16% dropped by 4.6% and 3.2% respectively.
