Petrofac, a leading provider of services to the energy industry, has announced that it has secured a contract worth over $600 million from a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (Adnoc). This contract is in relation to Adnoc’s Habshan Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) project, which aims to reduce carbon emissions at its gas processing plant in the United Arab Emirates.

Under the engineering, procurement, and construction contract, Petrofac will be responsible for the delivery of carbon-capture units, pipeline infrastructure, and a network of wells for carbon dioxide recovery and injection.

“We are excited to bring our CCUS expertise and project delivery experience to support Adnoc Gas in their decarbonization efforts,” said Tareq Kawash, Chief Executive of Petrofac. “By maximizing energy output while minimizing emissions, we are proud to contribute to the UAE’s energy transition.”

This contract win further strengthens Petrofac’s position as a key player in the growing carbon-capture market. The company’s dedication to sustainable solutions and expertise in project execution make it an ideal partner for Adnoc in achieving its decarbonization goals.
