U.S. Stock Markets Set to Open with Gains


With two hours remaining until the opening of U.S. stock markets, agilon health inc. (AGL) has already shown a promising start, up 4.7% in pre-market trading. On Holding AG (ONON) also joins the positive trend, up 4.4%.

Leading the gainers are Natera Inc. (NTRA), Agilent Technologies Inc. (A), and Palantir Technologies Inc. (PLTR), all boasting gains of at least 3%. However, Liberty Media Corp. Series C Liberty Formula One (FWONK) and RB Global Inc. (RBA) had a less favorable start, experiencing declines of 5.0% and 3.7% respectively.

Positive Futures Outlook

The S&P 500 futures indicate an upward trend, currently up by 0.12%. Likewise, futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average show a rise of 0.13%. The Cboe Volatility Index futures exhibit noticeable growth, rising by 10.61%.

In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures have experienced a decline of 1.77%, while gold futures show a minor decrease of 0.08%. On the other hand, Bitcoin has climbed by 0.64% to reach $27,571.

Treasury Yields

The 10-Year Treasury yield has slipped to 4.788%.

Previous Trading Session Recap

During the previous regular trading session, both the S&P 500 and the Dow encountered losses, down by 1.37% and 1.29%, respectively. Meanwhile, in Asia overnight, Japan’s NIKKEI 225 Index dropped by 2.28%.

European Markets Update

As of afternoon trading, European stocks are observing mixed results, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index increasing by 0.35% while the FTSE 100 Index remained unchanged from the previous close.
