U.S. Stock Markets Set to Open with Positive Momentum

With just two hours until the opening of the U.S. stock markets, Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc. (VRTX) is showing promising pre-market results with a 6.9% increase. Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. (TTWO) is also off to a strong start, up 3.5%.

Notably, Hess Midstream LP Cl A (HESM), Berry Global Group Inc. (BERY), and Range Resources Corp. (RRC) are all experiencing gains of at least 2%. However, in early trading, Pfizer Inc. (PFE) and Linde PLC (LIN) have encountered declines of 6.9% and 4.8% respectively.

Market futures indicate positive trends as well, with the S&P 500 futures up 0.14% and futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising by 0.11%. Additionally, the Cboe Volatility Index futures have decreased by 4.49%.

In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures have risen by 0.29%, while gold futures show a slight uptick of 0.15%. Meanwhile, Bitcoin has increased by 0.34% and is currently valued at $41,199.

Furthermore, the 10-Year Treasury yield has fallen to 4.182%.

During the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 and the Dow experienced gains of 0.46% and 0.48% respectively. In Asia, stock performance was mixed, as Japan’s NIKKEI 225 Index saw a modest increase of 0.25%, while China’s Shanghai Composite Index recorded a decline of 1.15%.

In Europe, stocks are thriving, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index and the FTSE 100 Index both climbing by 0.33% from the previous close.
